Description

An image link from a record can link to one or more images.

If there are several images, each will be displayed as small image (a thumbnail) that can then be used to view the complete image.

How much you pay depend two things:

• On the price set for that type of image and this in turn will depend on its rarity value, so an image of a gravestone will cost more than that of a church.
• Whether the price is per-image or per-group of images. For gravestones, the price will normally be for a group of images as it may not be possible to include the whole memorial in one photograph.

Images will normally be displayed in JPEG format as all graphical web browsers should be able to display this type of image without additional plug-ins that may not be available in libraries and similar environments. Links are provided so that you view the image in Portable Document Format (PDF) for use with Adobe® Reader® and similar readers.

Notes

The image reference displayed is the name of the image file on the FamilyHistoryOnline system.

Do not attempt to ‘bookmark’ or save the link to an image. The link to an image is only valid for an hour or two.
