Transcription and conventions usedThe transcription consists of 125,774 entries from 38 parishes mainly covering the period from the start of the registers to 1901. Most entries are from the Church of England parish registers but have been supplemented from the Bishop's Transcripts where the original registers are missing or incomplete. Each record includes:
Illegitimate children are listed under both surnames where known. Note: Whilst the Entry contains the full forenames it is only the first forename has been made available for searching. The expanded version of the entry with separate columns for each name only appears in table view. CoverageThe following table lists the number of entries and years covered for each of the Buckinghamshire parishes in the database. Note that there may be gaps in the coverage if some records have not survived. Approximately 200 parishes have deposited records at the Aylesbury and other record offices according to The Phillimore's Atlas and Index of Parish Registers (2003) 3rd edition.
